WET DENSITY vs DRY DENSITY

Wet Density is a measure of soil and water, in a given volume.

Dry Density is a measure of the dry soil only, in a given volume.

Example:

You have a 1 litre mould with 2204 grams of wet soil in it,

If the moisture content of that soil is 12.3% (w), you need to calculate the moisture out, so you’re left with dry soil only.
